Met some family here after Thanksgiving and enjoyed the sandwiches and pastries. My wife had the chai tea which is what she orders when she goes to a coffee shop usually. She said it tasted a little on the "potpourri" spectrum of chai tea flavors. My SIL ordered a hot drink that was not served to her hot and needed to be warmed up, but she enjoyed the flavor. Very friendly staff! Good local bakery/cafe.
The Place Fourth Street Bakery and Cafe Liberty is located at 1255 4th St in Peru, Illinois. The Bakery and Cafe has indoor seating and is setup quite nicely. It features a drive thru. Parking is a little tight but usually adequate. The Menu/Food The bakery has a nice menu and the quality of the offerings is excellent! The muffins are delicious and the sandwiches are very good as well. The Ruben is not only delicious it is quite appropriately sized. The Service/Experience/Value The sandwiches are made to order but the turn around is relatively quick. We have always enjoyed a nice experience at the Fourth Street Bakery and Cafe. Fairly priced for the quality of the food and service provided. Highly recommend you stop in and give them a taste.
Ll good here after waiting apparently 2 years to return! Outside now waiting to open in a few minutes. Good Americano and honey and Everything bagel with maple walnut smeer. All is excellent and hopefully not so long to return. Bagel and drink both excellent with lovely ladies attending.
